As I’m frequently asked what influences a collection, here goes the first of the series. “Barocco”

At The Rijks in Amsterdam. Rembrandt looks a little peeved with me as I can’t stop looking at the wallpaper.

This was my first artwork that was entirely based on pattern. I tend to think of pattern as volumetric and not repeat.

My first Durkan pattern in a 12′ repeat. This royalties from this pattern go entirely to the NEWH scholarship program.
