I had the pleasure of hosting Todd Oldham http://www.toddoldham.com/ again at RISD. As before, not to talk about himself, he came to speak on behalf of Alexander Girard. I never knew the look of my childhood all came from one person, Girard was an architect, designer, toy maker, alchemist. His witty and sophisticated art inspired me and captured a new generation of design students. There was nothing this man couldn’t do. Get the book, it’s fabulous!
